Knife Holders - Slitting Systems
We offer pneumatic knife holders which have been designed and developed according to the latest findings. To cover a wide range of materials to be processed, we have two types in our program.
The WISTEC knife holder 20-100 is designed for shear cutting of web materials. The minimum cutting width is 20 mm. Here you find the main and connecting dimensions.
The knife holder WISTEC type 20-100 is in its class a exceptionally robust and highly resilient machine element. It is torsionally stiff and true to gauge, characterized by the double ball-bearing guide.
As a technical innovation, it has an integrated pneumatic control which ensures that the lateral stroke can only take place when the cutting head has reached its lower end position. Time-consuming compressed air adjustments, a second compressed air connection for the lateral adjustment stroke, or even damaged knives due to premature placement on the lower knife are thus a thing of the past.
The WISTEC knife holder 20-100 is a flexible modular system. It can be easily adapted to existing guide rails. Even round knives deviating from the standard used (Ø100 x Ø70 x 1.2 mm) are no problem.
The WISTEC holder has a defined cutting angle. Nevertheless, the second edge of the lower blade can be used without the use of change parts, just by turning the cutting head by 180°.
The WISTEC knife holder type 40-150 is also used for shear cutting of web materials.
A minimum cutting width of 40 mm and the stable mechanical construction allow medium to heavy duty applications. This means cutting papers, foils and laminates of up to 150…. 200 g/m², or foil thicknesses of approx. 1.5 mm.
Here you will find the main and connecting dimensions.
The constructional design is such that the knife holder can be adapted to all known systems of guide bars. A retrofitting next to already existing makes is no problem. The knife holder is suitable for use in automatic positioning systems.
It is possible to adapt the product to dimensions of round knives deviating from the standard (Ø150 x Ø80 x 2.5). For higher speeds there is a special conversion kit for disc knives Ø 200 mm.
The knife holder 40-150 has a defined cutting angle. By simply turning the knife head, the second edge of the lower knife can be used without the use of change parts.
In order to set up a cutting system for the longitudinal cut of web materials, it is necessary to drive the lower knives. These are preferably positioned on a pneumatic knife clamping shaft, which allows a quick adjustment of the cutting widths.
