Pneumatic - Mechanical Chucks

If high torques are required, especially for shaftless winding and unwinding, pneumatic-mechanical expansion chucks are used.

They also offer the following advantages:

  • 100 % centric clamping of the sleeves
  • High winding speeds are possible
  • Variability in sleeve diameters

As a basic expansion chuck, we manufacture a design in which five expansion wedges expand mechanically guided by a piston-cylinder combination.

If different diameters have to be clamped, adapters can be mounted as one solution.

Another possibility to work variably is the use of multi-stage chuck heads.

For even greater variability, the WISTEC TYPE IV series is suitable, with far greater expansion ranges than are generally available.
